The special thing about ViCare washbasins from Villeroy & Boch is the many different holding options. The choice between frontal handles and handles on the underside, makes it possible for you to adapt the washbasin to your needs so that it is the perfect support in everyday life. Depending on which handle option you choose, the ViCare washbasin either makes it easier to pull yourself up in a wheelchair or provides support when standing. Sufficient space under the ceramic sanitary ware makes it easy to get underneath with a wheelchair, on the one hand, and provides enough legroom, on the other, to make personal hygiene much easier when seated. Selected models are also available with the additional antibacterial glaze AntiBac.
WCs and WC seats for barrier-free bathrooms from Villeroy & Boch
The WC also plays an important role in an accessible bathroom. Villeroy & Boch offers two different variants. You can choose between the wall-hung and the floor-standing model -both are available rimless and with the special AntiBac glaze. Selected models are also available with the innovative DirectFlush technology, which offers maximum hygiene and easy cleaning. The WC seats are designed to withstand particularly high loads. Instead of the required load of 150 kg to be withstood, Villeroy & Boch is increasing the load limit on its products to 240 kg. Another advantage is provided by special buffers that prevent the seat from slipping sideways when transferring from the wheelchair. Thanks to the QuickRelease function, the lid and seat can be easily removed for cleaning. For fixed installation, attachment with continuous hinge shafts is also possible. Use is greatly facilitated by the SoftClosing function and the grip grooves on the lid.
Accessories for barrier-free use
Villeroy & Boch's high-quality accessories comply with EU Directive CE EEC 93/42 on medical devices and therefore stand for safety and medical technology performance. A particularly high level of safety and confidence in the products is ensured, for example, by the handle systems with a load-bearing capacity more than 20 % higher than that required for unrestricted wheelchair use. The range is rounded off by the seating systems, which can withstand a load of up to 160 kg. Due to the highly compressed surface, the accessories are very hygienic and reduce dirt adhesion many times over.
