Privacy policy
We take the protection of our customers’ and prospective customers’ personal data very seriously and comply with the requirements of data protection laws. We use the data you provide to fulfill and process your order. At the same time, we hereby provide information about how we handle personal data.
1. Collection, processing and use of personal data
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Each time a webpage is accessed, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file containing, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), thereby documenting the access. On or during the operation of our website, personal data is generally collected only to the extent technically necessary. Personal data refers to master data, such as a person’s name and address, as well as usage data (e.g., password). Data provided in connection with orders in our online shop is necessary for the establishment, execution, and fulfillment of contracts and is processed and used by us to that extent. Data voluntarily provided when using our contact form to contact us is used to process the respective contact request or inquiry and any further questions. Once the matter has been resolved, the respective data will be deleted, provided there are no legal retention obligations.
This access data is analyzed solely for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the website and improving our services. In accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, this serves to protect our legitimate interests—which prevail following a balancing of interests—in the proper presentation of our services. All access data is deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the website.
Server-side tracking – We use server-side tracking to collect technical data about your use of our website. This involves processing information such as your IP address, pages visited, device information, and interactions on our website. This data helps us optimize our services and implement security measures. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving and securing our website.
2. Sharing of personal data
For the purpose of processing and fulfilling your orders, the necessary information (address and, if applicable, product details) may be shared with partner companies (parcel delivery services, freight forwarders, installation services). Additionally, personal data is collected when you request a non-binding consultation appointment for custom bathroom planning on our website. No further disclosure of personal data to third parties takes place; in particular, data is never sold or disclosed to third parties for any other reason.
3. Data transfer
To fulfill the contract in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, we share your data with the shipping company responsible for delivery, to the extent necessary to deliver the ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select during the ordering process, we will transfer the payment data collected for this purpose to the financial institution responsible for processing the payment and, if applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us or to the selected payment service. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider with your login credentials during the ordering process. In this regard, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies.
3.1 Data transfer to shipping service providers
To fulfill the contract in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, we share your data with the shipping company responsible for delivery, to the extent necessary to deliver the ordered goods. Google Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as cookies. We use Google AdWords to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. To this end, when you visit our website, Google sets a so-called remarketing cookie, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you have visited. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which prevail following a balancing of interests, in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Once the purpose has been fulfilled and we have ceased using Google AdWords Remarketing, the data collected in this context will be deleted. Any further data processing takes place only if you have consented to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google Account and using information from your Google Account to personalize the ads you see on the web. In this case, if you are logged into Google while visiting our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data to form audiences. Google AdWords Remarketing is a service provided by Google LLC (www.google.de). Google LLC is headquartered in the United States and is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here. Based on this agreement between the United States and the European Commission, the latter has determined that companies certified under the Privacy Shield provide an adequate level of data protection. You can disable the remarketing cookie via this link. In addition, you can learn about the use of cookies and adjust your settings at the Digital Advertising Alliance. Note on the Use of Personal Data in Google Ads If you have consented to this, Google Ads may process additional data as part of personalized advertising if this data has previously been linked within other Google services (e.g., through Customer Match). This may specifically include the use of your hashed email address or phone number for the creation of target groups. The legal basis for this is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.3.5
This website uses AddThis to collect and store data, which is used to create usage profiles using pseudonyms. These usage profiles are used to analyze visitor behavior and are evaluated to improve and tailor our website to user needs. Cookies may be used for this purpose. These are small text files that are stored locally on the visitor’s computer, enabling recognition when the visitor returns to our website. The pseudonymized usage profiles will not be merged with personal data regarding the holder of the pseudonym without the data subject’s separate, explicit consent. You may object to the collection and storage of data for the purpose of web analytics at any time with future effect.
